CBD Transdermal Spray Film

CBD Spray Film uses intact human skin as the application site. Experimental skin permeation data have shown that CBD is able to penetrate intact human skin. It is then delivered directly into the systemic bloodstream and to its site of action. Compared to the conventional oral route, the transdermal route has a major advantage in terms of CBD dose. While during oral absorption and the first passage through the liver only 6-8% of the dose applied is available to the systemic circulation, the transdermal makes up to 4 times more of an equivalent dose available to the bloodstream.

A spray film is a polymer-containing solution which after application by a pump spray device and after the solvent has evaporated, forms an invisible, thin polymer film on the skin that contains CBD and other excipients that promote permeation through the intact skin.

The CBD Spray Film offers you a safe and reliable way to meet your daily CBD needs. Dosing takes place in the morning and in the evening. One dose requires two consecutive sprays aimed at the desired intact area of skin. Daily use of CBD Spray Film gives you constant 24 hours CBD activity and protection. The system’s size and design allow for easy, maximum discretion and convenience in most situations at home, at work, at private events, or for wellness and sports.

THC/CBD Transdermal Spray Film

THC/CBD Spray Film is under development to treat multiple sclerosis (MS) which is characterized by neurological impairment and progressive disability. Common symptoms also include motor impairments and spasticity-related muscle tension; the latter make complex, coordinated movements difficult or impossible and cramps can also cause pain. Sleep can be affected at night. The control between muscles and nerves is permanently disturbed. If the treatment of the underlying disease is not sufficient, muscle relaxants (baclofen, tizanidine) are usually given. In the case of moderate to severe spasticity and when muscle relaxants are not sufficient, additional cannabinoids (CBD, THC) are increasingly being prescribed. The therapeutic value of cannabinoids for MS treatment requires a cannabis product that can be safely administered with high and reproducible bioavailability as well.

The THC/CBD Spray Film introduces an innovative and more comprehensive therapeutic alternative into the armamentarium the therapy of MS-related spasticity. It contains Tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD) as well-defined small molecules and provides the drug by using the intact skin for application.

Absorption of THC and CBD by the proprietary specific formulation technique used is superior with regard to rate and extent of bioavailability to common conventional other routes of application of THC and CBD described. The beneficial effects of the compound are augmented by its transdermal application: steady serum drug levels are maintained due to continuous transcutaneous uptake of the active substance; use convenience ensures adequate patient compliance.

PerDiaban®

PerDiaban® is a food supplement that contains the active ingredients of two plants, bitter melon and psyllium husks, that are known to improve sugar and fat metabolism and prevent age-related brain dysfunction by favourable synergistic effects:

Bitter melon contain so-called charantins which increase the production of insulin in the pancreas and improve the utilisation of glucose in various organs. They also stimulate the secretion of intestinal hormones, so-called incretins, which fine-tune the interaction of insulin and its counterpart hormone glucagon and, thus, inhibit the occurrence of insulin resistance. Since few years we know that the incretins also interact via the so-called brain-bowel-axis in the metabolism of the brain where they prevent development of the dreaded insulin resistance of the brain which contributes to premature brain dysfunction.

Psyllium husks are obtained from psyllium seeds and are used in the traditional medicine of India for the treatment of functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. The husks are rich in plant fibres which are usually excreted almost unchanged because they are not absorbed and processed by the intestine. The psyllium fibres exert their lowering effect on blood glucose and lipids by encasing nutrient particles of carbohydrates and fat in the intestine, so that they cannot be absorbed, but are disposed unprocessed by the natural way.

For which groups of people is PerDiaban suitable?

  • For people in the state of pre-diabetes, PerDiaban can contribute to the normalization of blood glucose and blood lipids and thus prevent the development of a manifest type 2 diabetes.
  • If a non-insulin dependent diabetes has already become manifest, PerDiaban can be integrated in a dietary plan as natural additive to oral antidiabetic medication under a physician’s control. PerDiaban is a food additive which can be combined with usual oral antidiabetics.
  • The use of PerDiaban is particularly recommendable for persons who have a family history of developing diabetes and are at a genetic risk of developing premature brain dysfunction.
